How to Fix “LG G4 Won’t Turn On” Issue Effortlessly
When you run into a problem with your phone, whether it be an LG G4 or an iPhone, just know that you're not the first person to experience the issue and you'll definitely find a fix for it. One of the most recent problems that LG phone owners have is that LG G4 won't turn on and as you might have guessed, this prevents them from using their phone altogether (unlike some of the easier issues to deal with).
There can be a lot of reasons for this error occurring. Sometimes it will occur because of an error with a recent Android update, other times it will happen because your device is infected, and sometimes your LG G4 won't turn on because there's a problem with the device itself. But regardless of why the issue occurs, you don't have to worry about it. In this article, we'll be discussing some of the best fixes to this problem so that if you run into it, you can deal with it appropriately.
Fix #1 – Check the Battery
The first thing that you should always do is check the battery of your device. It's not uncommon for Android users to experience this problem only to find out that they've let the battery run out and for that reason, you should charge your phone frequently.
If you think that your battery could be out of charge, then plug your phone in for about 30 minutes and try turning it on again. If this doesn't work, try removing the battery, blowing into the battery port to remove any dust that may be lingering, holding down the power button to drain any charge that is in your phone's electrical system, and inserting the battery once again.
Now, if you find that this doesn't work but you aren't in a rush to fix LG G4 won't turn on, you can try taking the casing off of your mobile phone and removing the battery overnight. There's no technical explanation behind this, but sometimes you'll find that it works. On the other hand, you could also try charging the mobile phone overnight.
Fix #2 – Clean the Ports
Think about how you use your LG G4 for a minute. You pick it up, you answer a call, and once you hang up, you put the phone straight into your pocket. You might not realize it, but your pocket is full of dust and small fragments of fabric which easily get into the ports of your phone. As a result, your phone might not be charging properly.
Take a toothpick and insert it into the charging port very carefully. Scrape around the edges of the port, and if there is any dust in the port, this will grab it. When you remove the toothpick, you will see whether or not dust has clogged the system and if nothing comes out, this was not the problem.
It's incredibly important that you don't use a paperclip or any small metal objects to clean the ports of your device. This could result in static discharge damaging the internal components of your device and would render your device unusable.
Fix #3 – Check for Moisture or Broken Components
It's not uncommon for smartphone users to take out their smartphones while they're walking down the street when all of a sudden, they drop it and crack the screen. This can be an expensive fix for several reasons, and while most people think it's only a cracked screen, deeper damage could be inflicted from when you drop your phone.
On top of this, if you listen to music on your phone while you're in the shower or even just have your phone in the bathroom while you shower, moisture can get inside of the casing. As you might have guessed, this can cause internal damage to your LG G4.
To check if this is there is any moisture or damaged components, simply take the back of your phone's case off and inspect it. If there are any damaged parts, contact a local electronics store and see if they can help you out and fix LG G4 won't turn on. If you see that there's moisture, leave the case off for a while to allow for your phone to air dry.
Fix #4 – Wipe LG G4 Cache Partition
Now that we've covered some of the basic fixes for LG G4 won't turn on, let's dig a little deeper. While you aren't able to turn on your LG G4, you should still be able to enter something known as “Recovery Mode” which will help you to wipe the cache partition.
There are benefits to using recovery mode such as getting rid of unused system files, removing app data that is no longer required, and generally just clearing up the junk files on your device. All in all, no harm can come from using the recovery mode. To enter recovery mode when LG G4 won't turn on, follow the steps below.
Step #1 – Hold down the “Volume Down” button as well as the “Power” button for a few seconds until a menu appears on your device's screen. Several options should be shown on this menu.
Step #2 – This screen that is shown is known as “Recovery Mode”. From here, scroll down and tap on the “Wipe Cache Partition”.
Step #3 – After a few seconds, the process will be complete at which point you should scroll up and select the “Reboot System Now” option.
By doing this method, you are removing any harmful and unused files that may be causing LG G4 won't turn on. It's a good idea to do this every so often to prevent issues from occurring with your device.
Fix #5 – Factory Reset LG G4
This is the last thing that you should attempt when you have a problem with your mobile phone. By factory resetting, you are completely removing all of your personal data from your device which means that you will no longer have access to it. This is why it is important for you to take data backups at least once a week so that if an issue arises, you lose as little data as possible.

Step #3 – Once the process is complete, scroll back to the top of the menu and select the “Reboot System Now” option.
Step #4 – You should now be able to turn on your LG G4 although all of your personal data will be lost.
If you aren't able to do this, there is also another method that you can follow to factory reset your LG G4 and hopefully fix the issue at hand.
Step #1 – Hold down the “Volume Down” button as well as the “Power” button until the LG icon appears on your screen.
Step #2 – Once the LG logo has shown on your screen, release the power button for a second before pressing it down again (at the same time, remember to keep holding down the volume down button).
Step #3 – A menu should then appear on your screen which gives you the option to “Factory Data Reset”.
Step #4 – Simply select “Yes” from the menu and let your phone take care of the rest.
There's an incredibly high chance that this will fix the issue that you're having, whether or not it's LG G4 won't turn on, so at this point, you shouldn't have to search any further for a fix for this problem. However, if the issue is still persistent and you aren't able to use your LG G4, there is one final thing that you can try.
